Page Last Updated 02 May 99: NewHTMail 2.01 !! (A small bug-fix to 2.00)
Here are some rexx scripts to make life easier. They aren't that many but I'm working on some more of it.

  • New HTMaiL.rexx V2.01 A very good script to view HTML e-mails on Voyager, IBrowse, AWeb for YAM 2 Preview 7 (or better, in future ;). If you used the old version, you'll see this one is at least 10 times faster and works like a breeze. It even has an auto-htmlmail-detecting version in it, might be useful (but I prefer the manually launched version myself.). It has a guide and it is simple to install and use
This beauty ;)) needs the latest YAM preview. I think it is the only way to view HTML e-mails for YAM users, and to go with it, many Amigans.
  • HTMurl V1.10 A helping hand for YAM users.
WARNING: If you have downloaded HTMurL archive before seeing this warning, you should download again as it had the wrong and older version of the script. The archive now contains the correct more advanced version. I apologise for any inconvenience. HTMurL V1.10 can now be downloaded.)
The script lets you view the mail on major browsers (Voyager, IBrowse, AWeb) with url's and mailto's linked in html code.
This is usually a nice way to navigate from a mail. The script also works real fast and efficient, this had been achieved after some bit of optimising and suggestions from friends. For the best effect, use this in conjunction with my PassMailTo script written for Voyager (tho should work with other browsers, I did not bother to write the appropriate help for others but Voyager).
  • Batch Version Spooler V1.5 Ever wanted to share latest libraries with friends? Or just want to keep the version numbers of older libraries in archive so that you can track down a new and buggy library replacement? Getting version numbers of files in a directory is a big hassle. Comparing the versions among the list is even harder!
With this set made of 2 scripts, you can get version numbers of files with ease to a neat text file, and compare the version numbers between 2 version lists. This makes it ideal for keeping your libraries up-to-date, you can share latest libraries during an irc session at your favorite channel.
Important note: If you have downloaded this archive previously and didn't get an example output to check out 'batchvercomp', here's an example output. The archive now has the file.
  • ImageTagger V1.00 The ideal script for html writers that do image intensive html designs.Utilizes Visage.
This very handy script checks the image tags for the size info of the image, if not present, adds the appropriate size info, if present, verifies it. Thinking one can resize an image on purpose, you are asked if you want the tag 'corrected', or keep the way it is.
    • Has a nice installer, click and go stuff.
    • Cares about your style, checks if you're using all capital for tags, or small letters, or even tags starting with a capital letter and then going with small letters. Doesn't reformat any of the document, linefeeds are kept intact within tags.
    • Backs up by default, and in the end, always asks whether to update the html with changes or not, so that you can feel comfortable.
    • No shell work, you can click on the icon and use file requesters.
    • ReqTools for user interaction.
  • Passmailto YAM V1.1 A script to use YAM as your external mailer for Voyager. Get it before it gets you :) has a small guide for you ppl not to have any problems with the rather simple installation.
  • PPPOnline Rexx 1.05 A powerful set of scripts for Miami to log PPP Online times.
After a five minutes installation process you will be able to log your PPP-Online Sessions, and later calculate how long you went online between dates you optionally specify. As logs and calculations are configuration-aware, it supports multi-user setups or ppl having more than one service provider to get on to the net. If you specify a shortcut to your text editor loading the log, you may also take notes within the log while you are online (or offline, of course :), so you can immediately note down a new person you met on irc or an URL you come across, not really a feature of my scripts but it is always handy. I consider this my best script, took some good months to shape up. Some features of the script:
    • Configuration aware.
    • Doesn't use any envarc variables but still can be used for logs with different name: Can self modify
    • After a reset or crash it understands the log is incomplete and saves the log accordingly for exact calculations.
    • Calculate online times between given dates for given configs.
    • Allows foot-notes to be taken within the log.
    • Uses reqtools for user interaction. (The user may not need to interact frequently, just at occasions where there's a wrong installation or before reconnection after a crash or reset.)
    • Now with installer! (From V1.05)
    • Free, like all my other scripts :)
  • Nick Identify Script 2.0 A small AMIRC script that executes on connection to server and verifies your nick to what is called nickserv. Don't expect a help file for it but you have to modify the script on your own for your needs, with respect to the help lines in the script itself.
  • IFF2WEB script 1.10 This is a nice script for PersonalPAINT 7.x for you ppl who like drawing images with another package but find it time consuming to convert them to web native formats (PNG and GIF) manually. Now also with ALLIMAGES keyword (from v1.10) ilbm check is overridden, so every image can be converted to gif or png, this also makes GIF->PNG conversions or vice-versa possible.
    • You can now use ALLIMAGES keyword (from V1.10) to process not only ILBM files, but also other images loaded by PPaint! You can use this even for converting non-progressive PNG to progressive PNG!
    • Now with smarter installer (from v1.10) that does not create clone script items in PPAINT after a previous install, if item is already present.
    • Can work in a whole directory or with a single file
    • Accepts all possible options when saving the file (progressive etc.)
    • Can chop the brush from unnecessary pixels (optimizing size)
    • Adds necessary extensions or modifies the extensions if already present
    • Original file retained.
    • Target dir is selectable.
    • Doesn't force when saving files, so you can back out if the file is already present. (Not really a feature but it is comforting :) )
    • Easy Installation (Click & you're ready...)
  • Image2ILBM script 1.01 This script is for PersonalPAINT 7.x used for converting other formats to iff ilbm format. This is a modified version of my IFF2Web script, I could have done this all with a single script but then the user would have to cope with arguments, so here's a seperate script! V1.01 has small updates in the installer and nothing new.
    • Features are similar to IFF2Web.
    • A great time saver for you guys/gals converting winamp skins for amigaamp 2.0 found in Aminet. Just by making a few succesful mouse clicks, you'll have your skin converted! Also you can use the script to downdgrade 24 bit iff files that won't like your datatypes to 8 bit. Just cool.
You can convert 182 skins per hour (if you're fast enough :).
